Two Roads

Do you have a quote you live your life by or think of often?

Oh very much so! Very early in life I knew I would not travel the path of the regular humans that walk the earth. I found Robert Frost in Jr. High School.

"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."
~Robert Frost -August 1915

If you walk on a road that many have traveled, that road is smooth and easy to slip on. You glide through easily missing the subtle nuisances of life and what it can teach you. You've learned nothing new. You are not changed.

However, the road less traveled has bumps, rocks, trees, holes that you must go slow and watch where you walk. Your attention is focused and you pick up all the little details of the world around you. There are so many things to see and discover for the first time. I love the newness of what I find. I find more about myself and not what the world thinks I am. I learn so many new ideas and choices in this slow movement and challenges.

Now... think of yourself making a huge life choice. One choice, is an easy road and an easy ending to deal with but the outcome gains you nothing. You just get through.
However... there is a more difficult road to follow. It has challenges, trials, and may change your views. After this journey, you are stronger and able to deal with daily life with more ease. You see the world with such a different consciousness.

Choose what is right or choose what is easy?
The choice is yours.

I am… what others refuse to be"
