What is your middle name? Does it carry any special meaning/significance?

I'm not going to publish what my real middle name is because there is too much identity theft. The middle name of "Ann" however runs rampant through both sides of my family so I am very proud of my middle name because it is not Ann. The name come from my Great Grandmother Webb-Ross. She was a force to be reckoned with. She would walk into bars without her husband (in the years of her life, around the turn of the century through the early 1900's, this was frowned upon). She let her daughter wear pants and shorts (1930's &40's). She had no problem carrying a shotgun around with her on her property and aiming at trespassers. In her later years she was fiercely independent and stubborn, both traits I now am privileged to carry on. We need more woman like the two of us in the world again. Fierce women who are not afraid to stand up for what is right and do not let men decide what they will do.
My Great Grandparents loved each other, supported each other and their community, all while raising a family and having their own independence as well.
My family hales from the British Isles. I know much about my family lineage and we are a strong people who were leaders in our communities. I have tried to be this way in my own life. Living in a big city and doing this is tough but I did make my mark and help others. I know life in a small town a century ago was different and more familiar. Maybe we need to think about that the next time a neighbor is in need?
