I was craving a time of peace with the Raven. I sat in the cavern I had found while walking along an acre of beach. The cranes flew above my head, a flight that showed they had not a care in the world. I saw the cave across the dunes and I raced toward it. The crave of solitude ached my bones as I drew near. On the walls were carved runes I had not seen before. Hieroglyphs, Arabic or Latin could not compare to the chaos. What unhinged person or being had marked these walls in vain. I sat down on the stone floor and soaked up the silence I had earned. I opened up “The Raven” and started to read the words that never fail to move me. “Nevermore…”
Is that what was written on these walls? The ravings of a madman?
